The late, great, brilliant Warren Zevon on a minimum budget, recording most of the parts himself, and releasing one hell of an album. With songs like Mutineer, The Indifference Of Heaven, Monkey Wash Donkey Rinse and Rottweiler Blues, you can't go wrong if you enjoy brilliantly crafted and executed music. Bruce Hornsby contributes accordion to a couple of tracks, Rosemary Butler adds vocals on a couple others and David Lindley plays some fiddle. There's also a splendid cover of Judee Sill's Jesus Was A Cross Maker. Zevon is in top form, and all of his songs carry that ‘Zevonesque’ weight that pulls you in and won't ever let you go.
